Description
The STIHL KM 56 RC-E is a petrol KombiEngine, the powerhead of the STIHL KombiSystem. One engine can run a range of KombiTools, such as a brushcutter or an edge trimmer, so you change the attachment rather than buy another machine. STIHL designs it mainly for home users who want one engine for work around the house, yard and garden. This listing is the KombiEngine only, and KombiTools are sold separately.
A 27.2cc STIHL 2-MIX engine makes 0.8kW, and the engine weighs 4.2kg without fuel. STIHL Easy2Start and a simplified starting sequence take the effort out of the pull, and an electronic ignition keeps it running smoothly. The loop handle with barrier bar helps in confined spaces, and the quick coupling with clamping screw lets you swap tools without needing a toolkit. STIHL notes it cannot be used with the RG-KM rotary cutting head.
